Safety
For the avoidance of unpleasant incidents, all Toyota cars are equipped by the reliable system of active safety.
High braking values
Front and rear wheels' disk brakes (front brakes are ventilated) combined with ABS, EBD and BA systems ensure invariably high braking values and confidence on the road.
АBS and EBD
Antilock Brake System (ABS) along with the electronic brake-force distribution system (EBD) is a standard element for all versions of complete set. ABS facilitates in maintaining the control over the car in case of hard braking or braking on a slippery road, ensuring an optimal brake-force distribution between all four wheels with the use of electronic equipment, enabling hereby to maintain the maximum road adherence. It is amplified by EBD system that optimizes brake-force distribution between the front and rear, right and left wheels, compensating the difference of loads on the front and back axle. The combination of these two systems enables to prevent the wheels from locking and allows maneuvering with confidence in case of braking.
Emergency braking accelerator (BA)
Emergency braking accelerator (BA) is a standard element for all versions of complete set that automatically amplifies the braking force in case of emergency braking (specifically, in cases when the driver jams on the brakes, but not strongly enough). The system determines how quickly and how much effort has been used when depressing the pedal, following which it instantly amplifies the braking force, as required.
Road-holding ability system (VSC)
VSC system is automatically activated at detection of skidding due to a very high cornering speed or insufficient tire grip with the slippery road. Automatically snubbing a particular wheel, it restores the tire grip and enables the driver to stabilize the vehicle course.
Traction-control system (TRC)
When TRC system detects the wheel-spin upon jamming on accelerator pedal it automatically reduces the engine torque, facilitating hereby in restoration of tire grip.
